Le domande cui si può rispondere con Yes o No, nel discorso
indiretto vengono introdotte da if;
le domande che iniziano con una question word (what, who, where,
…), nel discorso indiretto vengono introdotte dalla stessa question
word.
In entrambi i casi si effettua la variazione del tempo verbale
ma in forma non più interrogativa.
“Who are you?”
He asked me who I was.
NO: He asked me who was I.
“Where do you work?”
He asked me where I worked.
NO: He asked me where did I work.
